Bathroom Decor Featuring Horseshoes

Bathroom decor can fit any theme and any personality. It can also fit any lifestyle.

If you want a bathroom theme that is western, cowboy, or riding, you might enjoy bathroom decor that features horseshoes.

Horseshoe bathroom decor can be rustic, with emphasis on wrought iron fixtures and accessories. It can just as easily be upscale, the horseshoes a part of an English equestrian theme.

Horseshoe Bathroom Decor with Wrought Iron

Wrought iron products are easily found for horseshoe bathroom decor. Sometimes wrought iron horseshoes stand alone. Other times, they come with a strand or two of barbed wire. Look for toilet tissue holders, facial tissue box holders, towel rings, and towel bars, all supported by horseshoes. Wrought iron mirror frames often feature horseshoes also.

Horseshoe shelf brackets can hold a shelf or two in your bathroom. A horseshoe wine rack makes a wonderful towel holder and no one will guess that you are mixing kitchen and bathroom decor. Simply roll bath towels and insert them into individual holes in the rack.

Horseshoe Bathroom Decor in Other Metals

The horseshoe design appears in many metal products. Don't limit your search to typically bathroom decor. Horseshoe-shaped hardware can replace the standard hardware on cabinets and drawers. For a cowboy/western look, towel rings and racks often feature a horseshoe with a mounted cowboy in the middle. Cherish's Country Store has an array of clever horseshoe bathroom decor items. Their toilet tissue holder is a horseshoe with a hook. You simply slip the roll over the hook. Matching horseshoe hooks hold clothing or a robe. Their horseshoe napkin holder, meant for the kitchen, would be perfect for fingertip towels. From another source, a triple horseshoe, double candleholder provides soft candlelight for your bathroom decor.

Horseshoe Bathroom Decor in Softer Materials

Horseshoes need not be hard metal to complement your bathroom decor. Shower and window curtains can carry a horseshoe motif - or horseshoe and horse pattern. Horseshoe shower hooks work well with such a curtain. You might find just the shower curtains you need at Kickin' Horse Shoe Creations.

Bath towels and hand towels can carry a monogram inside a horseshoe. A pair of linked horseshoes is also beautiful on towel sets.

Miscellaneous Horseshoe Items

Add tumblers with a picture of a horse's head surrounded by a horseshoe. At Hoofprints, we found a very unique horseshoe pottery vase that would be great as a toothbrush holder. A matching soap dish is also available there.

Your horseshoe bathroom decor will look good with a horseshoe switch plate, too. For amusement, add a horseshoe doorknocker on the outside of the bathroom door.

As a finishing touch, hang a real horseshoe on the bathroom wall. Superstition says you should hang it with the ends pointed upward so your luck will not run out.

Thinking About Bathroom Tiles? Read!

So you have been thinking about decorating your bathroom for a while now or you have just started thinking about it well let me tell you now one of the best ways forward in your quest to make your bathroom look as good as possible is to user bathroom tiles to get the effect you want and the great look and feel you may have in mind.

Bathroom tiles are a great way to keep your bathroom looking good and keeping clean at the same time, there is such a big range of tiles out there that you should not be stuck for options to choose from other than if you are stuck trying to decide which one looks better than the rest. No matter what size or shape your bathroom is you are still going to be able to find the perfect design for you.

There are so many different styles, shapes and sizes that bathroom tiles are available in so that you can make a whole host of different design so you are able to be as unique as you like. You are going to be able to find bathroom tiles that are available for your floors or your walls as well as finding tiles that will look great on either or even both.

Remember if you do decide to use bathroom tiles in your bathroom you are not restricted to just using them, many people decorate only certain parts of their bathrooms with tiles for example behind and around a shower or a bath, these usually give off really good looking walls. One thing I must point out at this stage though is if your bathroom is not very big then you are more than likely better off tiling the whole bathroom as small patches of tiles may not look that great. But by all means you can try it just make sure that you are able to rectify the look if it is not the one you want in the end.

Also when you are thinking about installing bathroom tiles you are going to need to consider the tile material, if you are looking for a easy to fit and easily maintainable tile then I would definitely recommend going for the ceramic type. This is because they are easy to install and they can put up with the most abuse without giving up on you. Natural stone tiles are a good way forward but they are by no means going to be the best bathroom tiles for the job.

Natural stone tiles do require a lot more attention than ceramic tiles do, this is because they need to be sealed before any use comes to them as they can potentially get stained which will result in a ruined tile.

One other thing about installing bathroom tiles is that you must have them grouted which brings in another possible issue which is the fact that they can go mouldy, there are techniques that you can use to stop this happening but that will not be covered in this article.

You will want to make sure that your bathroom walls are as smooth and flat as possible so that once you have finished installing them you will not be able to see any issues with the wall which you do not want with bathroom tiles as it can ruin your whole project.

It doesn’t matter if your bathroom is small or huge—there will always be modern vanities that you can add. These pieces and even ensemble don’t only possess function, but also form. Modern vanities are meant to add more character, emotion, and ambiance to what could have been a four-walled portion of your home.

Wide Range of Selections

When you’re talking about modern vanities, you are talking about your imagination. This is because there are plenty of pieces that you can choose from. Some of them are stand-alones, which you can later combine with other modern vanities, especially if you want to create a general theme on your bathroom. There are also others that come in pairs or even sets.

Mirrors. One of the most common modern vanities that you can take advantage of are mirrors. They may be incorporated to cabinets or other standing fixtures. They can also be independent pieces, which you can attach or mount to your wall, just above the sink. The good thing about mirrors is that they add more space to your room, especially for those who are longing for more breathable space. They also make the room more airy or cozier.

Lighting. The best possible complement of mirrors will be lights. These modern vanities can also be installed directly into the cabinet or be placed near mirrors, so they can add more illusion of space. You may also add lights to different corners of your bathroom. If you can, add a small lamp at the corner of your tub and light it when you want to tone down the mood of your bathroom and make it more rejuvenating or even romantic.

Sinks. Other kinds of modern vanities may include sinks, particularly basin sinks. They are not only very useful, but they can also be a beautiful fixture to your countertop. If you want to save some space, you can add the sink right into a cabinet. The best and perhaps the most usual choice for sink-and-cabinet modern bathroom vanity is wood. This is because they are easier to blend in with the other pieces in your bathroom. They also look very sophisticated and elegant. But you can also opt to buy those that are unpainted ones, so you will have the freedom to paint your preferred color.

Shower Enclosures. When you have combined your washroom and bathroom, you may want to separate the two by using modern bathroom vanities like shower enclosures. These are commonly made of tempered glass, though the cheaper ones come from recyclable materials. You can add shower chair, shower radio, and other accessories inside, so you can have your own spa or even sauna right inside the enclosure.

Bath Tub. Nothing seems more relaxing than soaking yourself to one of the most popular modern bathroom vanities in the world: bath tub. All you need to do is to look for a space where you can fit it. You can go for the rectangular- or the circular-shaped tubs.
Don’t forget to pepper your various modern bathroom vanities with some more essential bathroom accessories like a bathroom caddy, perhaps a small shelf, and a towel ring.
