Can anyone recommend a good lightweight stroller/buggy?

Can anyone recommend a good lightweight stroller/buggy?

Well I have the Silver Cross but it's quite big and heavy so I'm looking for a lightweight stroller/buggy that's easy to put down (one-hand fold) as I will be using it on buses... Need to be able to purchase it in the UK.

Been through all the websites but there's just so many to choose from and they seem to have the same amount of good and bad reviews so I'm hoping you can help me.

Advice on traveling with children under the age of 4?

Advice on traveling with children under the age of 4?

I have a 4 month old and a recently turned 3 year old. My husband is currently working in Spain for another 3 weeks and he really wants us to go visit him as he misses us so much. We've now bought our tickets for a long weekend in Madrid to see him.

I thought it would be easy to travel with 2 kids. One in the stroller, and one strapped to me. But the more I think about it, the more I'm wondering how feasible that's going to be, without killing my back! My son is quite hyper and has the tendency to run off - something I do NOT want to happen at a busy airport with a baby to cater to as well. If I can strap him into a stroller, that's the safest form of traveling... but as I mentioned, I'm not sure I can manage with my back.

I have 3 different kinds of baby carriers - a wrap, the ergo and the baby bjorn - each has been useful at different stages, but all uncomfortable for long periods.

I never bothered buying a double buggy because of the age gap and my son is pretty much walking most places. However, I can't see him doing so when sight-seeing around Madrid! I'm sure he'll get tired and will need to nap, etc. And as I said, I can't have the baby carried the entire time as that would just kill my back.

I was looking at buying a double buggy but still can't justify the price for something I will use for a short while.

I've looked at the buggypod but it has quite a few negative reviews - namely that it's hard to push amongst other inconveniences.

I've looked at the buggy board, but a) apparently there's not enough room between the stroller and you pushing (I'm quite small as it is and tend to stand quite close to the stroller let alone having a toddler in the way) and b) doesn't solve the 'napping' issue if he gets super tired.

Are there any moms out there who've used any of the above who can give me the pros and cons?

PS We're taking a trip to Germany in August too to attend my cousin's wedding... then heading to Australia to visit the in-laws for Christmas... but he'll be 3 & 1/2 by then! Is it worth spending the money?

Thanks so much for your advice.

Is it totally rediculous to buy 3 strollers for our toddler and newborn?

Is it totally rediculous to buy 3 strollers for our toddler and newborn?

I have a 23 month old and am due in December. My 2 YO doesn't really like to sit in her stroller that much, but at the same time it is still totally necessary for zoo trips, mall trips ect. And we go on day/weekend trips a LOT and totally HAVE to have a place for her to sit then too. I have a baby sling that I can/will use. However when the baby is a newborn and it is winter time I am certianly not going to want to take them out of thier nice comfy warm car seat to place them in a sling ect, especially if they are asleep. I am planning on getting the baby trend stroller that the car seat straps into. I was also planning on gettin the Baby Jogger City Mini twin with a buggy board attachment on the back (they now make a car seat adapter for the mini). However I would still like to have an umbrella style for quick trips around town. The baby will be about 4-5 months before it is really warm here and I would be OK taking them out of the car seat and into something where they can just lay/sit. I was considering a sit and stand style however I want an actual seat for my 2 YO not just a bench, and I really hate the way they look. I was considering getting the city mini and then looking for a used Maclaren for when they are bigger. None of the baby stores near where i live has the City Mini for me to preview so I have to go off of reviews and stuff online. Is the city mini light/compact enought to compare to a Maclaren? And suggestions/reviews? I really do not want one of the Graco type doubles that are wider front/back as I have used them before and they are super hard to move around. From what I've read the city mini is almost small enough to so through a standard door. you just have to tilt it sort of sideways.
well I already have 3 that we're/are my 2 year olds. The sinle one that came with the travel system that I hate. A really nice jogger one (but it's only a single) and then a single maclaren stroller. There are times I will still use the jogger and single maclaren but I also see totally good reasons to have the car seat adapter one, the city mini, and eventually the maclaren double. But my husband is DONE with me buying stollers!

does anyone have a zia petite star stroller in cranberry?

does anyone have a zia petite star stroller in cranberry?

if so, is it red, like I was told in mothercare when I ordered it from them, or is it pink. I have read some reviews and they have all said they are pink. I really hope not, as it is for my little boy, and I don't think we will like pushing him round in a pink buggy. Joking aside, honest answers would be really most appreciated. Thank you

Opinions/reviews. Deciding between 2 lightweight jogger strollers: Which one?

Opinions/reviews. Deciding between 2 lightweight jogger strollers: Which one?

I have done extensive research in this department and my baby is almost 6 months. While her car seat/snap and go is still okay for her it is getting far too bulky to maneuver everywhere. I need a smaller, lighter model. I am torn between the following 2: City Mini Baby Jogger ($229) & the Joovy Kooper Buggy Stroller ($199). Both have excellent reviews although I am more inclined to choose the city mini. Has anyone tried either. If so what is your experience/opinion regarding either of these strollers.

Mothercare Hoxton Tandem Stroller Reviews!!?

Mothercare Hoxton Tandem Stroller Reviews!!?

I was eyeing this up for my 21 month old and 2 month old but have read some bad reviews..

Does anybody have this buggy and find it good..??

Thanks
Did you see the mothercare one? I am in Ireland here and its 239euros (not to bad). Its lovely looking and small. The phil&ted ones are very big and my car is only a little thing. The reviews said that the Hoxton was very heavy and hard to push when toddler sits in the front. I had a look at it in the shop and I thought it felt lovely. Its very compact. But I don't want to spend the big bucks, unless I will get good use out of it. (btw my big bucks are over 200) My head is wrecked.. :))
